O final da 2ª temporada de The Mandalorian deixou em aberto muitas questões sobre o futuro dos personagens da série, mas com a Lucasfilm rompendo os laços com a atriz Gina Carano por comentários que ela tem feito nas redes sociais, alguns fãs esperam ver Lucy Lawless assumir sobre o papel de Cara Dune. A natureza de The Mandalorian significa que personagens coadjuvantes entram e saem do enredo do herói titular, ao invés de apresentar um conjunto consistente, então não está claro se havia planos na Lucasfilm de apresentar o personagem em uma grande capacidade na série daqui para frente, pois isso significaria que é possível simplesmente tirar o personagem do show.
